2 universities are active on the Forum for the Indo-Canadian community: University of Toronto, University of British Columbia, University de Montréal and University of Waterloo.
There are more than 600 members of the forum, which started in 2013, and the majority of the posts are on topics such as university culture, student life and diversity.
The forum’s top posts are from the first day of classes, such as the one that says, “We have a new president.
How will you make a difference?”.”
A big part of the discussion here is that we need to see the community as a whole, not just in one generation, and not just at one time,” said M.K. Narayan, who joined the forum in 2013.
“So many posts have been made about what it is like to be a student in a university environment.
We don’t have an option to discuss this with a group of peers.
So this forum is a very useful place to talk about it.”
The forum is now closed.
