It’s not every day that the Cleveland Browns are able to turn to their top draft pick and bring in a quarterback of a similar caliber to the team they drafted in the first round of the NFL draft.
After a disastrous first season in Cleveland, it’s understandable why the team has become more and more frustrated with Griffin’s inability to live up to the hype.
They believe that if they can’t get a quarterback in the top 10, they can always trade down to select another quarterback in later rounds to be a more affordable option.
It’s a strategy that has paid off in the past with Andrew Luck being traded to the Indianapolis Colts, Jameis Winston being dealt to Tampa Bay and Derek Carr being traded back to Oakland.
But there’s one problem for the Browns and it’s their defense.
In their final seven games of the season, the Browns have allowed a whopping 29 points per game, which ranks tied for 29th in the league.
That was down from last season when the team allowed 30.4 points per contest and ranked 26th in total defense.
The Browns have played more games than any other team, which is a huge reason why they’ve ranked 29th and 30th, respectively, in total yards allowed.
The Browns’ inability to defend the run has allowed quarterback Robert Griffin to have a much more difficult time making plays downfield.
The problem isn’t just a lack of talent on the offensive line, but also the fact that the Browns defense is built to allow quarterbacks to make plays down the field.
The defensive line is one of the most impressive units in the NFL, but the linebackers, who have been the backbone of the Browns’ defense for years, aren’t even that good.
When you look at how the Browns can be successful when they’re playing well down the stretch, you start to understand why it’s so important for them to improve their defense this offseason.
With a quarterback who’s not capable of making plays in the red zone, it can be a very difficult task for a defense to consistently stop the run.
It can be even more difficult for a team that has a defense that can’t stop the pass to stop the running game.
This is where a new approach comes into play for the Cleveland offense.
Instead of going out and getting some great pass rushers, the Cleveland offensive line could instead go out and add another player to the mix.
There are several players who could fill this void.
The Cleveland Browns have a lot of talented players at their disposal.
The offensive line has two starters who could be ready to step up and start at quarterback in 2017.
The second-year guard, Justin Gilbert, is a former first-round pick who has a history of success in the pro game.
He was one of six players who made the Pro Bowl last season, but Gilbert was the only player to record at least three sacks.
He also has a very good arm, which allows him to make all of his throws with good leverage.
The former sixth-round draft pick is one player that could fill the void that the team is lacking.
The fifth-year left tackle, Joe Thomas, is an offensive lineman who has been around the league for a while.
He played for the New Orleans Saints for a number of years, and he was a first-team All-Pro in 2014.
Thomas has a high-end arm and has shown the ability to make a lot out of his athleticism.
He has the ability and the athleticism to be an extremely disruptive offensive lineman.
If he is able to get the opportunity to play quarterback, he could provide Cleveland with another option on offense.
Another option could be the third-year center, Joe Hawley.
The team’s first-year offensive tackle, Taylor Decker, is also a former Pro Bowler and a former captain in the Cleveland locker room.
He’s a long, athletic tackle who could potentially make the transition to quarterback and could play a key role in the Browns offense.
The third-round selection could be a guy who is a player that the coaching staff will have to work with in training camp.
A fourth option is a defensive tackle who has not been on the field all year.
The Cleveland Browns signed veteran pass rusher Myles Garrett to a contract extension last offseason.
He’ll be one of those guys that could help the Browns in their quest to become a contender.
The first-rounder is a veteran who has played in the National Football League for over 30 years.
He is the only active player in the last 30 years to have played at least 400 snaps and has been a starter in all three seasons.
He won’t have to learn a new scheme and will be the primary pass rusher in the team’s offense.
This will be an opportunity for Garrett to show off his ability to rush the passer and make plays.
The fourth-year safety, Josh Jones, could also be a player the coaching team can work with. He
